The Hawk Conservancy Trust is a UK registered charity whose mission is the conservation of Birds of Prey
I have been a member of the Hawk Conservancy Trust for a number of years now and can thoroughly recommend it as a brilliant location for BOP enthusiasts.

With 3 flying demonstrations during the day - all in different locations around the centre there is plenty to keep those wanting to practice their in-flight techniques busy. The hi-light of the day for me is always the 2pm Valley of the eagles display which climaxes with the return of the magnificent Bald Eagles flying over the wild flower meadow. It's trying to get a shot I am happy with of this that keeps me going back for more.
In between the demos keep an eye on the flying areas as there are often birds in training being flown.

In addition to the captive birds on the site there is every chance you will be able to get shots of wild BOP as will, including Red kites, Buzzards and Kestrels.

Every afternoon there is a heron feed which you can view from the hides, in addition to the heron you can often see wild Kestrel, Red Kites and Buzzards joining in.
For those of you with a competitive streak the centre also runs a monthly photographic competition, details of which can be found on their website.

Like everywhere the centre is very busy during the summer months but during the early spring, late autumn and winter months you can often have it virtually to yourself.
